Karen's Story
After I graduated from Shenandoah I became a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse. Jan 1, 1978 I married my husband, Asdrubal. June 1980 my first son, Eric was born and 3 weeks later we moved to Glendale, California. We lived in Covina, California for 11 years and had 2 more sons. Scott born in 1982 and Jonathan born in 1987. In Dec 1990 we moved to Northern California. After working 15 years as a Pracitical Nurse I returned to school and became a Registered Nurse. God has blessed our family financially and in many other ways. 5 years ago I retired. My husband is a Naturalized US citizen originally from Brazil. We bought property in Brazil 5 years ago and now spend time in Brazil and the USA every year. I am involved with the music ministry in our local USA church and continue to be involved even when I am out of the Country, with the organization aspect.

nd God has blessed us with the ability to do this. Our youngest son is currently working with Adventist Frontier Missions as a student Missionary this year in a closed country teaching English. My husband and I are currently in Brazil and will be here the next 6 months. We are working with the local churches at their request.... helping to develop outreach programs. One such example is "teaching English" on Saturday nights with 35 people attending. God continues to bless our efforts and has given me the courage to stretch my comfort zone and travel and live outside the USA. He has also blessed our children with the ability to do the same. Our oldest son attended Newbold College/Universtiy in England and our middle son attended and graduated from Avondale College in Australia. Our youngest son normally attends Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. Please pray for the work being done all over the world. We are so blessed in the USA.
