John ONeill:  

Upon graduating from St Lucys in Syracuse, NY I took a year off from school then enrolled 1967 at Albany Business College in Albany, NY graduated in 1969, played basketball and was captain of the team. I got married in June 1969 to Nancy Monsour. I recieved a basketball scholarship to Dyke college in Cleveland, Ohio. During my junior year I played basketball and we played for the national championship in New Kenington, PA vs Sullivan Business College of Louisville KY. After my junior year at Dyke I moved to Latham, NY and became employed at UPS as a delivery driver in Albany NY. I was employed for a year at UPS when Uncle Sam decided to draft me, in April 1971.I completed my basic training at Fort Dix, NJ was assigned to Fort Knox KY for AIT and stationed at Fort Knox for 7 months where I was a personnel clerk administering mental tests to become a Warrant Officer Training program (Helicopter Pilot). I also played for the Fort Knox basketball team and I also earned my Spec 4 stripe after only 9 months in the service.
