Andrea's Story
Hi Everyone! I was so, so counting on being there to see all of you at the 40th...the pics look like you had a blast. Thanks so much to Kathy, Marcie, Cindy, David, "Charlie", Dan, Bea, Rob, and all the committee. What troopers!!
A couple of you keep asking for my story, so here goes. Sorry, I don't know how to load pics, yet =:( After MHS, went to UofA, which I LOVED but got menningitis, due to $ had to finish BA at ASU. I switched to education with an emphasis on kdg and special ed. I loved teaching special ed and kdg and using music with the children for about the first ten years of teaching. Then I went to work in an elementary "back-to-basics" magnet school and it took me twenty-two yrs to escape! (I'm a slow learner...?) The country western song SHOULD go "Parents, don't let your daughters grow up to be teachers...!" Only kidding, sorta!
If you ever thought I had any vocal talent, I could win Oscars (or maybe win in Vegas) at picking the wrong men!!! But I do have a very gorgeous 30 yr old son, Shane (from my first marriage), who has a beautiful wife, family and business. rvices the east valley. It's on facebook and Kudzu if you are needing someone honest, reliable, and fair. (OK, I'm a proud mom...I'll stop pluggin' my kid!!!)
Remarried for about 5 minutes and divorced again, took back my maiden name...What a pyscho. I'm still alive, thank you, God.
Let's see, I'm not working now, on disability with the state. I still read a lot of different genres of books.
Recently was put in contact with a voice coach willing to work with me as soon as I can arrange it. How exciting!!!!! And a bit scary, too!!
Aquariums still hold a facination and calming effect over me. Though, I've never dared take the financial plunge into salt water.
Dogs. Man's best friend? I beg to differ! At our house they've always been my best friends, most have been rescues. Pappillons, Long-haired dachshunds, Shelties, Mutts, American Eskimos, and now a Keeshond. We just understand each other. If I understood men half as well as I understand dogs,... and vice versa...enough said!
I would love to catch up with old friends and classmates. Please feel free to email me through classmates and give me your email or email me at the email address I gave for the reunion booklet. The Verizon cell # in the reunion booklet is always good, too. Would love to chat anytime.
