Richard's Story

Life Hello All, I retired on 29 June, 2007 after 33 years with the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District in Fairfield , Ca. For 13 years I was the principal of Sem Yeto High School. Prior to that I was a school counselor. I'm married to Nancy(Elliott) Chadwick. We celebrated our 43rd anniversary on June 24th, 2010. Nancy went to Brazil High School. We married in Terre Haute and graduated from ISU together in 1969. We moved to California with the Air Force. I was in the USAF from until from '69-'72. We went to graduate school together at Cal State U.-Sacramento from '72-'74. Nancy is a psychotherapist and has a fitness studio(mindbodyflex.com). We have two sons, Nathaniel, age 33 is married to Masako and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from UC-Berkeley. He is currently a critical care nurse at UC San...Expand for more
Francisco hospital. He is in a master's degree program at UCSF. His wife is an attorney. Our younger son Elliott is 23. He is a nursing student at San Francisco State University. We live in a pretty little university town. Davis, Ca. It is home to UC-Davis. We travel as often as possible. I ski and backpack. I recently began to play golf. I was president of a sister city group with Inuyama, Japan and we have been guests there. We're planning a safari to Africa. Next summer we're going to Norway to visit friends. We go to Hanalei Bay Resort in Kauai every other year . I got scuba certified and plan to scuba with my brother Jim who moved back to Bloomington, Indiana after living out here on a ranch in Mendocino County. I guess that retirement is bringing out the nostalgia in me! I hope to hear from some of you. Regards, Dick
