Antonio's Story
Life
I own a home in Palm Coast, FL. My mom and dad are with me because they are getting up in age and I don't want them alone. My sister broke her hip a couple years ago and she is now disabled so she is with me too. My other sister is currently with me on a temp basis. There are 4 dogs and one cat in the house not by my choice only one dog is mine.
School
I had a crush on a guy back in grammar school, he never had a clue about it. We then went to high school and we started hanging out with different friends.
I would have to say that Ms. Presutti and Mr. Mcarthy were the two math teachers that inspired me to become a math teacher myself.
If I could do it all over again, I definitely would!
Too many memories and too many illegal activities to mention....
College
I went to college at Jerseyt City State College, which now has become New Jersey City University. I earned a BS degree with a double major in computer science and mathematics, I also completed certification for...Expand for more
secondary education and I am certified to teach math in grades 6-12. I am currently looking into online programs for my masters degree.
College was great! I learned a lot about myself and how others see you. I also learned on of my favorite pass times, pottery. I am currently looking for a wheel and a kiln so I can set up a studio in my summer home in Michigan.
Workplace
When I graduated College I went to work at a middle school in Clifton NJ. 7th graders are insane...At the end of that year I moved to FL and got a job teaching 8th grade. At the end of that year, I was hired by AOL and worked for corp america for 4 years. I did some traveling for AOL and enjoyed my time there but as many other corporations have done, AOL took my position over seas and I was pinked. I went back to the classroom and I have been teaching high school math since. I love it! I would never think to leave it. My kids are crazy and so am I so we get along great!
