Tammy's Story
Life
I am married to an Iraq war hero now. We travel back and forth to Washington DC for doctor appointments and to visit our 20 year old son who is now in the US Air Force. We have a wonderful 25 year old son who lives here with me to help me take care of Dad and make sure he doesn't do anything he isn't supposed to.
I am a proud mother of two boys who took completely different routes in life but that is okay with me. They both love their parents and care for their friends.

Things have changed in the past few months. It is a new year, now 2009, my son is now in England and studying to become a CMT so that he can deploy for Afghanstan. I am very proud of him for that but also scared. He is also doing college work for his Associates Degree in the Medical field. Who knew someone that smart could come someone who tried their hardest not to study? Thought I was going to get lucky with him joining the Air Force and not going into battle but guess I was wrong. But we will see how it goes. It will take a while for him to finish the training but the one thing I have learned from this is that the training doesn't last forever.
