Jessica's Story
Life
I have two residences; one in Manistee, MI and my 'dream home' is in West Branch, MI on the Rifle River. I work for my government as the Health Director for Little River Band Ottawa; 7 years so far. I travel a great deal for work, especially to Washington, DC and Minneapolis, MN. My family is my priority and we have his, hers & ours children. His are residing in Freeport, Grand Bahama (dive master, great guy, single), Atlanta, GA (mom w/3 kids-no, not really a grandma, yet) and Saginaw, MI (onto college next year), mine residing mostly in Ann Arbor, MI (GO BLUE-need I say more?) and ours, 9 years old (going on 30). I work with great people providing health care via a public health program funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service and Tribal Enterprise revenue. I suppose I am very responsible but I still like to have as much fun as I can muster anytime. I am very active in Native American political issues, (imagine that) have served on federal policy making committees and have two DHHS Secretarial citations for my involvement (that and $2.00 will get you coffee in most states ). I truly enjoy my work, but I'm away from home more than I would like to be. Overall, I have a pretty good life (thank you Creator!).
