Anita's Story

Life I married Ray Westberry in 1966 in Clewiston. We moved to LaBelle in 1972 where I owned a dress shop for a few years before returning to college for my teaching degree. Ray retired from Everglades Sugar Refinery, we decided to get out of S.Florida. In '97, we moved to Middle Tennessee and love it here. I again returned to college for my masters degree. I now teach with the University of Phoenix online and at the Nashville, Franklin, and Chattanooga campus...Expand for more
es. I also teach English as a Second Language at the local elementary school. Ray and I have 2 grown children, Danita Thomas, who lives close by us here in Tennessee with her husband Patrick and their three children, and our son, Larry. Larry and his wife, the former Kim Tubbs from LaBelle, live in Lehigh with their two children. Ray is enjoying his retirement. He also travels with me when I do student teacher observations for the University of Phoenix.

I just had to post this picture of Ray and his brother last Sunday afternoon but "they were not asleep."
Alan has spent most of his life coming in and out of his house. He is leaving to go back to Virginia today so this will be his last time in this house. It goes on the market Friday.
Ray and Ed Cox. They have been friends since school and worked together at the refinery. They were each best man at each other's weddings.
