Update 10/26/2010 At the end of '07 bought a brand new home on Humboldt Hill just So of Eureka. Great view of the Bay from seven large windows each with a different angle. I got a telescope to watch boats, flocks of geese beyond the rocks referred to as a sandbar, (Look like rocks to me.) The water is too cold for bathing beauties. There is a "Jaw," i.e., an opening where boats get through. They used to ship a large amount of lumber especially redwwood and there was considerable commercial fishing in the area. Now a small amount of lumber is trucked out and a little commercial fishing is currently taking place. I have met numerous nice people. There are no Freeways, no smog, lots of trees a few redwoods left. I often sit back in my lazy boy. Gloria has her office with computer and HDTV and I have mine. My office with computers (one is also HDTV). (I can foul up an idiot-proof computer more creatively than any one else.) Lots of stuff to finish up a new home. Fences, stairway from balcony down to backyard are now in place. I put a cat door in so they can go outside down the stairway.
