Brenda's Story
Hello, to everyone:
Many a joy and many a tragedy have come to just about everyone's lives since our Chemainus High School Days.
I live in northern Alberta - As a BC gal never thought that would I would reside here but we have enjoyed it in many ways. The weather I must say - especially in winter no one gets used to but all persevere and eventually it does become spring time. Incredibly bright long days in summer.
As of the end of November I am retiring.
I have two children that blessed our lives much later in our married life. - I am still in culture shock. Just kidding - I was about to sign adoption papers and then we had two of our own children two years apart.
We now have 3 grandchildren much enjoyed - The youngest has some challenges due to being without oxygen at the time he was born. This is our son's boy. - He is quite the celebrity - on the Net you can see, and read about him.Just enter his name and talented little guy that he is, Poof- he will appear. He is getting lots of help and buckets of love. When you see him smile he will win your heart as he did ours. He may not laugh, run, jump and play as other children as time goes by but all is being done to help him to rea...Expand for more
ch his full potential. In himself he is a little marvel - This boy was not to live, if he did, he would not see, hear, eat - so far he may not be defying all the odds but he has surprised many of the Medical Staff that saw him when he first arrived..
Anyone out there who would like to write I will write back to you - whether we have nothing in common or not we did attend the same school - a small but significant foundation. Well, sort of.
I have been contacted about the summer get together this year - Pretty sure I cannot make it - Wishing all that attend have a wonderful time..
Nothing profound but fun to relate what has taken place since '66.
My Best, Brenda Ellis
PS A new grandchild has arrived - have to add the addition - now we have 4 grandchildren - and I thought my children lit up my life - This is so "grand" news for sure.
Just to add we have lost our little Noah who was lent to us for just under 5 years - Nov 22/16 - could not make mention of this until now. Still sad - some things as Grandparents we cannot fix and keep. We enjoyed him and memory of him will be bright and clear- for we do not get over such tragedy but try to adjust such a great loss.
