Inge's Story
I was born in Austria but came to Canada at 18 months of age. My father had come to Canada first, traveling around the country looking for a place to settle. He first went to Montreal as he was fluent in French. Eventually he decided to settle his family in Fort Erie as he thought it was a beautiful place.
I grew up in Fort Erie but left when I started University in Guelph and didn't return for another 45 years or so.
Now I'm back here and enjoying being back.
I am still working (hope to retire one of these days).

nce grade school. My short stories have been published in numerous literary and other magazines and have been broadcast on radio. I received First Prize in the 1986 Annual Writers' Digest Short Fiction Competition, out of thousands of entrants.
I received my undergraduate and graduate training in creative writing at the University of Alberta, working with such writers as Governor General's Award Winner, Rudy Wiebe.
I've lived in Austria, England, and several areas of Canada including the Northwest Territories. I enjoy nature, horses, art, reading, and, of course, writing.
