Life
Well, I graduated in May 1964, married in June, moved to California in July and have been out here ever since! 43 years, is that even possible? My family continues to be in and around Three Rivers so I have vacationed there a lot. I married Billy Roberson, AKA Cottonpick, and his family was also in Texas. We were married 42 years in June of 2006 and sadly, he passed away in Sept 2006. I attended our joint 60's class reunion in Oct without him. And since then, I have been extremely busy trying to tie up all loose ends without him. Like selling our Southwind motorhome, and getting the house ready for putting on the market (at the worst possible time in recent history, I might add!) having big barn sales trying to clear out the RV barn, etc, etc, etc. Other than that, I stay busy ...Expand for more
with my three grandsons who live near me. I volunteer at a big hospital one afternoon a week in the pediatric unit. We lived a fun life and used to snow ski quite a bit, taking trips to Utah. Then we got into scuba diving and dove all over the Caribbean for about 6 years - sometimes two trips a year. Sadly Billy's illness forced him to give that up, but it still remains the top activity in my book, and I hope to get a chance to do it again before I'm too old! Our favorite all time place to dive was Cozumel, but CocoView on Roatan was one we always wanted to repeat and never did! The first anniversary of his death is approaching and I still forsee several months of hard work before my life is back in some kind of control. I'd love to hear from any old schoolmates that might remember me.
