Angelique's Story

Life Hi guys ! Im Angie Pitts, was Angie Bland, graduated in 1973.Im a registered nurse up here in yucky rochester, ny. I live in my home with my husband Mark and two terrific boys, plus a visitor from the UK.We have 3 dogs, two boxers and a boxador. I nearly died in 2004 in a bad car accident. It has taken until now for me to be able to even consider going back to work, and it has to be a mainly paperwork job which I detest. But it sure beats not working. I hope any and all I went to school with are doing well. I am amazed that lsa was even on the list. It still amazes me that my 17 yr old son Lucas is in a class with a total of over a 100 kids. the whole school is almost 600. A little different from old lsa , eh ? Dont mind me I had a foster son from Canada for 7mos. I have been a veterinary nurse for 11yrs, an spca shelter manager in Sullivan Co NY- lord how I miss that beautiful place. But it has no opportunities. I finished my lpn and rn programs down there. Had to relocate to rochester to find a decent job, and some opportunity for my kids. My oldest Thomas is 20. He is autistic/aspergers syndrome, a fairly newly recognized developmental disability. He is brilliant, sweet and talented. Has trouble dealing with social situations and gets completly out of hand if he is tired or too frustrated. He is so amazingly smart, too. Lucas is like me in so many ways, even looks just like me. Well, I am on a lot of meds, have hypertension and constant pain, a broken back that healed on its own, all from the accident. But the old girl is still hanging on and trying to forge ahead. Hope I hear from you. Angie College Hello to all who were in the nursing program from 91to93.I will never ...Expand for more
forget the group I was with. Never in my life have I belonged to a group that large and liked everyone in the group except for this one experience. It was awesome, and I miss you all more than I can say. We fought, laughed , struggled and cried together. It hurt me so much when so many dropped out. You guys were the best. Even though I dont see anyone from my class on the members list, but in case anyone looks like I did, please get in touch. It sounds corny but I love you all. It was the most cohesive, meaningful, empowering relationship except for my husband and I, that I ever had. I loved sullivan co. but needing to pay back my state scholarship, and such a poor economy, I went to Rochester. And have regretted it every day except for the day I met Mark. Some of you met him when we came down for a visit a few yrs later. I know he met Ron, and Lou. He was 28 and I was 38 . So now we are 42 and 51. I would love to find you guys and see were you are now. I really do think, I will now look into a possible job in Sullivan or Orange. Sell my house and go mobile. Back to SC. I left my heart and soul there. For anyone who remembers my ex James. He passed on in 2000,on the fourth of July. Very significant for a vietnam vet. Mark has raised the kids since they were 3 and 6. He is truly an awesome person, and my one true love. Remember, some of you, us, what we did on the day of the final final ? I do. And I still tell tales about that evening. If anyone from my class ever reads this, I hope you will contact me. Glory days, some of the best times of my life were in sullivan co and college. Whether anyone ever reads this or not, bless you all, I will never forget you. Angelique Pitts{Wareham}
