Joy's Story
Now catching folks up on 40 years is quite a task!!! Perhaps I should start out by saying I am very happily married to my husband Bob for 13 years. He is my senior so I became an instant step-mom to 4 grown children (they are awesome!), & instant grandma to 10!! They lovingly refer to me as
Ms Joy. In the past 13 years we have added 7 great-grandkids! I have no children of my own, but claim a niece & her 1 & 1/2 kids as my own. Her Mom, my sister, died when she was 5 or 6.
I have lived in Texas, Japan, Ohio, Tennessee, & Florida. I left Michigan in 1969 & have returned ...Expand for more
only to visit family. Unfortunately, I have had no contact with any of my classmates.
I graduated from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio with a BS in Business Admin & then went on for my RN, which is what I really wanted as it turned out. I never quiet finished my MBA. I worked in nursing,(ICU), then hospital administration.
I retired after Bob & I married; he had retired early. Since Bob was a pilot & we had those "toys", he encouraged me to get my pilots license as well. So in Sept, 1995 I became a licensed pilot. We have traveled near & far & enjoyed every minute.
