Virginia's Story
Hello, I am glad you are visiting my profile. It is January 1, 2018. I had breast cancer last year, my husband left me, my dear Mom passed way! But I am a happy survivor of it all. I will of course miss my Mom all my life. But I made it out of 2017 with being Cancer Free and a new life ahead! I live in Santa Maria, CA. It is on the Central Coast and beautiful country and coastline. I hope to have more time to devote to my favorite charities and AAUW. Also I love to travel and already have made plans to join my brother Jim in South Bend Indiana to see NOTRE DAME play at their home stadium. NOTRE DAME is my all time favorite college team that I follow religiously. I plan to also visit the Gettysburg and Valley Forge battlegrounds. As a History lover I want so much to visit these locations. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and many supportive friends! My family all live in Colorado now, but I often get to see them during their summers! I am not a snow bunny. I like warmer weather! I love the Southwest and the Northwest and the Midwest. My goal is to tour more of the East Coast. I have been very lucky to have had opportunities to travel to Europe and plan to trace my ancestry back to Ireland, England, and Scotland. I traced my Morher's ancestry to what used to be Czechslovakia. Now it is called the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic. My maternal family is from the Slovak Republic. I have many cousins that I visited and communicate with by Facebook and Messanger. I love that part of European country side. I have also spent a lot of time in Austria and France. I definitely want to go back Paris!!! A wonderful City! I have a beautiful life ahead just waiting for me to live!!!
Thank you for reading my updated profile. Please write to me and let's get reacquainted!
Sincerely ...Expand for more

It is March 2, 2019 and I am still going through a messy divorce, battling the side effects of chemotherapy, and planning my reconstructive breast surgery. However, I am extremely happy and looking forward to 2019 as the year that loose ends get tied up. I feel hopeful that my health set backs will be taken care of soon. I still live in Santa Maria, CA and I am so grateful to live in a beautiful area and near the ocean. I have always lived in California and near the sea. My mind and body is healed by being near good friends and a lovely setting. Last year I did get to travel to South Bend, Indiana to see NOTRE DAME play at the House that Rockne built. It was a very magical college football weekend. I will never forget it! My Holidays were so enjoyable and spent with my friends. I was definitely looking forward to the New Year.........I see 2019 as my banner year! I hope it is for you too!!!
Hello My Friends, thank you for looking at my profile! It is June 9, 2020. I am sad to say I still do not have my divorce finalized. Not through any fault of my own. Property settlement is holding it up.
I have considered moving to Henderson NV. But I will lease out this house and buy a house in Vegas area. I need a change of scene and the desert is very beautiful to me.
I encourage my friends to look me up in about a year. I will have a home with a pool and extra room for guests.
My breast reconstruction surgery is postponed until after my move to NV. I believe I need a chance to totally heal in a quiet home. So I will wait.
I am hoping to see if there is another class reunion before I leave CA. I will keep everyone posted if I hear of anything be planned.
Thank you for your interest in my postings. Please take care and stay healthy!
