Deb's Story
It's weird being middle aged, no?
My life now has about as much to do with Wade Hampton as it did when I went there...and those of you who knew me then, know what that means... fortunately, my kids didn't follow in my footsteps, and actually paid attention.
They are amazing individuals.
Still, I did have good times, and remember many of you fondly.
I've lived in Atlanta for longer than planned, but it has a busy airport that allows for quick escapes when I need to get a desert fix in Utah or bury myself in a snowdrift in Colorado, both former homes.

s believe I was smarter, more inquisitive and more creative at 17 than I'll ever be again...perhaps it was the lack of adult responsibility that allowed many of us to think and dream about what was possible. There's freedom in that. No bills, no kids, no mortgage payments for depreciating homes...
I guess life never turns out exactly as you expected, but it has a way of kicking you in the butt when you need it the most and sending you glimpses of beauty and joy at the most unexpected moments. You just have to be awake and paying attention to notice. Thankfully, I pay attention more now than I did in high school.
