Martha's Story
I married my penpal in 1951. He was a carreer soldier. We had 3 sons. He was killed in Vietnam and the children and I stayed in the sunny state of Okla.
All 3 boys served their country in different brances of the service and the oldest one is US Army retired.
I went to nursing school and got my LPN degree after thinking about going into teaching or going to RN school. I was tired of schooling, so I accepted LPN. It took me a long time to decide what I wanted to do with my future. Iam now retired from...Expand for more

Since then, I have gone into property management of my own houses and love the "Okie" people.
I have enjoyed trips back to Massachussetts and enjoy seeing "old friends". Hope to hear from some of my classmates because of this story.
For fun I go swimming or relax in the Hot tub. Reading is my favorite. My grandkids enjoy the time we spend together. The youngest granddaughter loves to help me make bread of just cook. I have six grandchildren and eleven great grandchldren that keep me busy.
