Life
I don't know if anybody will remember me, but I thought I would see who is out there from Anson anyway. My dad was Leon Bailey for starters. And my mom is Annalee Bailey, one of Anson's long time Avon lady's. I am their oldest daughter. My husband and I are into making metal art out of junk metal such as old freon bottles, motorcycle gas tanks, old shovels, and other junk metal. Recycling at it's best. My husband takes all this junk and makes it into decorative art for the yard and house. Ususally some type of critter or other emerges and then I put the final touches on by painting what he has made to look as realistic as possible.
We Harold and I are both still keeping our hand in our music to some degree too. I loved my band! I was in the Anson High band from 8th - 12th grade and had planned to be a band director. I even had the...Expand for more
honor to be in band with the sweet and kind Jeanie C. Riley for 3 years and watch her start her singing career in our small town. But this handsome Bockman Air Force man came along and swept me off my feet in my senior year! Oh well graduation, and a wedding in the same year isn't too bad a deal. It's been a happy 41 years as of September 20.
However, the marriage and family detour didn't detour me forever, because I did get my BA in Journalism with a minor in Marketing in 1990. I'm very proud of that final 3.58 GPA considering I waited until 1985 to go to college and I graduated in 1966, plus I had a emergency historectomy in the middle of one of my semesters and still passed all my classes.
