Frances's Story
I got married right out of high school,(big mistake). My son was born just before my divorce became final. He was and is a big beautiful boy. My second marriage and son came 7 years later. My baby was born with some serious medical problems. He has Cerebral Palsy, needed a breathing tube for the first 14 years of his life and is listed as severely mentally challenged. He still requires 24/7 help with all of the basic needs of life. But lest you think this is awful let me tell you how wonderful he is. He is happy 99% of the time and he makes me happy. fortunately for me as it turns out) his father couldn't handle his disabilities. I've been with my present husband for 13 years and I couldn't be happier. We have 3 kids between us and 6 grandkids. I keep books for our paint contracting business and I live in the country way up in the mountains of Virginia. I don't think there is any view in the world better than off my front porch.Well, that's not how I expected my life to turn out when I went to Lancaster, but I'm very happy. I've learned to talk to people, I'm not terminally bashful anymore, and I truly enjoy life.
