Donna's Story

Life Well despite the ill will of most, I made it thru the Military and many travels. I saw Korea, Japan and 2 hours of the Philippines! Man, life is great here in the USA..Don't let anyone tell you different ;-) Married a great guy and worked towards his becoming a Design Engineer...2 kids 2 horses many cats and dogs along the way; and all deleriously happy! I live on a patch of pasture on 2 acres and enjoy my horses and garden and help my husband in his Art and Knives studio. You might find it as. Weatherly custom designs? In my 50's now and married almost 33 years and never regretting but a few moments that we did not take the time to communicate, but it all worked out! We live way the heck out of town and commuting home you can just feel your blood pressure drop. The ride thru the canyon is dressed up with little creeks and streams. Vine maples and birches dress up the peaceful seating as the water tinkles away. We have a lovely little creek at the foot of the property with a hand hewed bench made by my son. We take the time to walk down there and think of people we knew and wish they found the quiet and peace we have come to know and the love of god that we carry inside us. I garden most of the months and if you doubt god in any way, then you have never seen my gardens. Just small patches now 30 feet long for the flowers... The vegetable garden was 60 by 45 and fruitful and prolific and tomatoes to die for! Sweet yellows you just have to try them. We fed our selves and family and strangers too! I am on "my special Place" but it is just a diary I am leaving for my kids. Some personal stuff like my last surgery, nothing but boring photos... and some clever story telling for my kids. Not your normal meat market 49'er page. I'm not there for a change. I'm there for my kids and my extended families. My email is good on the web site. If you want to chat. I'm ok with that. I heard a rumor that there is some of the 75-77 alumni's that are artists and galley from season to season. If you are one, I'd like to throw my card in the hat. We pour small Bronze and Jim develops his own line of Art Knives. We are looking into Automatic Knives for the future. Gotta find a way to make his Kit-Built plane come to life! Look for the "aviator" in 2008 or 2009! His Shark ( 2000-2001) is still asked for, but he wants to move on. I can form rock and polish on the Lapidary set, I'd like to work a handle in Jade and Labradorite and made it work on an auto....Baby I got plans for a PRETTY one! His last Auto was lightening quick. Too bad it was a prototype for a well known Knife company. They made millions on it. 2010 Ya know; there are times in your life that you have flashes of the past and of decisions you made. I remember being in the dorm with my husband (At that time we were living in sin, I suppose) He was shaving and I was applying my make up before work. I remember that I took a good look at him and thought to myself that he was mine, and I'd fight heaven and earth to keep him. It was just not a looks and T& A thing (Though this man did wonders for a flight suit!) Oh My God I made a vow even before the vow! That was almost 33 years ago and we¿ve come thru hell together. Weve bitten and scratched to get and keep a home. We've invested and lost thousands and now thanks to Bush we've lost a bunch in 401K. But all in all I remember how it was in the early days and how we promised each other wed work through it and that it would take steps each day. I look at what it took to get here and I worry about our kids and kids we've grown next to; or helped raise from afar. Every one that touches us becomes a place in our hearts and in our minds. I think about the children we give our hearts to that are thru the genes from other parents and know I left a piece of my heart in theirs. I hope that if the world start breaking apart, they would feel that I remember their bubbly, snot filled, grins. I still say prayers for them when their faces conjure up in past remembrances. (Usually flowers in the garden do this) Laura= lilies: Star gazers are key! Maybe the Sunny Yellow ones too! You come up every year and make the air smell WONDERFUL! You make beautiul children that people share with others and No matter how awful the winter, You still find a corn or two to come back with a vengence. I really love to go out in June and feed at night. The smell from the SG's is just so pungent and assured that I know spring is in full bore and living it's best. your Mom would understand. She thought of you girls with the Lilacs. So I won't use that one. There was a really cool weed that had a Purple-Blue snap dragon kind of flower and she picked them when you girls were out of school. I think since they were so close to a cobol color, she thought of you guys as vibrant. Don't ask me? I know they are NOT fox glove. Might be a type of Larkspur. But I tried to grow them and they died. They were toast in the times I tried to cultivate them. I just gave up. God knows best. Rebecca.... Shasta daisies or black eyed Susans (Your mom and I sat in a field of them while we both were pregnant, sorry not the nicest flowers, but it's a memory thing. sorry kiddo!) Besides, You can't kill a Black eyed Susan. They say that the water from the vase of Black Eyed Susans is a sure cure for ground mites. This means you are a flower that heals. Ground mites kill the roots and you have a yellow plant that cannot be saved. I plant my Crocosmias and Black eyed Susans together. You and Deyna were just a week apart. So in that honor, you guys visit the same part of the garden! Deyna.....Crocosmias. (No matter how harsh the winter, they seem to push thru the snow.) I'm hoping you find the right stems to grow tall and slender. You'll live medium height! But you'll never combat your sister the Lucifer! The Orange and Yellow sisters need tall Oranges to compete for seeding. You need to strive to be taller than just the medium hight. The Dark red ones ( This site wont let me say the Lucifer) Even if it's a proper Ortho-name) is your weedy cousin that will take over the beds...You gonna let her? Tschaurleighy....Angel face roses. (It's a wonder I can't get them to grow here. They hate the cold, just like you!) I shall try again, I promise. Irises too. All of my pink Irises remind me of the window box from the Crying Onion flower box.. You forgot the rhizome I snitched for you. But I found its exact sister.. I now have 4 of them. Ironic; Their name is: LadyFriend! Terri M; Maple trees! God how many times I tried to sneak away to play and was not allowed to. If it weren't for my Ballet lessons we would have lost contact in the formative years. Mary B: Weeds. No matter where you go they survive. They are the ememy of all Women. You can never trust a weed to do anything but tick you off! They take the bed over and menopolize your efforts, and screw up the beauty of the loyal timeless special plants you want to nurture...Expand for more
. They think they are better than eveyone else walking on or into any bed they choose. ( by the way how did your son do after watching his mom get tousled by every boss she worked for? How'd that go?) ( I can not believe you kept your door open when he was there. You slot ( with a u in the "o" place) In your Honor this year I will name a weed for you and make sure I have some No-grow to douse you with. I can't believe we grew up together.. I don't miss you at all, and you're the reason chose to pass by the Aries born women I know. I just can not even give them a thought for bonding of any sort. Hell, the one I work for now is transitional. My God! Shes just like you. in some ways. The attitude of being better then every one else. What attitude. So ironic is it that we grew up such diffrent people. I bet you are spell checking my post as we go... You Stink as a human being! As Always! Jenny S, Deadly Nightshade. Worse weed and user of all. I hope you get back half of what grief you gave to others. My God is a Just god! For all those you scr..wed. I hope you spend a year of loneliness in your old age. I hope you die alone, and without pity, and without dignity. You and Mary B ought to get together! You'll rule the world! you're both Runts with a C Lynn, S; I have a tiny little snatch of a parent piece of Cats Cape (Not sure what Botanical name is) It' a biannual, and seasonal. But it' pink or yellow depending on the n2 rating at the time. It grows at 1000 feet. And I think of you now when it blooms. It is a child of Dragons blood. (have oodles of that if you want a tiny piece! You CAN'T kill it!) The sister plant is very, very hard to keep. (Cats Cape.) But after googling your area... I think of you when it blooms. It's one of the old flowers that came in on ice floes of the migration of ice men and the sloths than came down from the Artic. If it can make it through.. So can you! Deborah A: God I wish you made it through the alcoholism. If you did plz look me up? I miss you. Your flower is the purple daisy.(coneflower) You can heal, you can naturalize, you seem to protect the flowers near you; fearlessly! You even seem to protect the flowers that are bad for you too. We were friends for a reason! We are so much alike! But, so different. I understand CoDependance now. 1990, I did not. I thought I saw you coming out of Safeways parking lot in 2009. We both thought we knew who each other was, but traffic was a witch and we went on our ways. It was me! I saw you! Lets go searching for "Tresures" Man, I miss that. Crystal S: For you I give vetch. Purple flower that survives anything! Even being frozen solid! But has no real sense of loyalty to your own gene Nome. You can either weaken or strengthen the tinted sisters of your own family near you. It's up to your n2 at the time. You can root anywhere. Horses can trample you, kids urinate on you, dogs can.......Well you get the point. I wish I could find a flower that fits but it's what reminds me of you. Sorry. Almost ten years of help to you and your kids. The best I got was a half trained horse and sore feelings. I sure hope you cultivate loyalty to something other than your horses. Lord knows I gave all I could. You gave your time to anyone that was not me. I got the long term vision of the inside of a van, watching your kids, cleaning rotted hamburger and fries so they would not be seen by the next horseshow visit. Cleaning the poop off your bathroom walls. This and more from the twins that hated me and bated me daily. You ask Randy what he said to me that he should¿nt of? Josh got a fat lip for saying he'd tell. But the cat was out and it hurt me terribly. Ya Ya sisterhood? Give me a break! Was that to keep me on for another year? Nope. It took one of your neighbors discussing what they heard about me. If you honestly thought I was crazy, and too hormonal for your kids why didn't you just tell me to go away? Oh yes! That would mean spending money and I was such an easy mark because I loved your girls like my own grandchildren! Yup I was hooked, and did not have a way out. I sure wish you had been truthful in 1998! I might have changed my plans. So for your years of using me, I give you a creeping vine that grows best in Manure. I hope that our god makes it even with you. I know you are 10 yrs my Jr. I feel secure that you will be my age soon. I hope your payback of service unpaid is parallel! Jess, S; God kid. All you girls. You were worth my time I swear. Never did you cause me a tear. You kids were awesome. I could have done without the fart wars. ( but afeter Bariatric surgery I'll take you on now!!!!!!) All you girls remind me of Sweet William. It grows anywhere! It changes color and reseeds. You can have any color of pink, purple, and mixed with white and some times peach. You OWN the reds pinks and whites. It survives EVERYWHERE! It naturalizes, smells sweet! It is the child of the Carnation; Carnation was my mothers' favorite flower. My mom was the most forgiving person in the world I know. If you girls are still the same in your hearts as you were as the tiny brats that woke me up so kindly. You deserve the honor. (Way too cute to yell at, even with no COFFEE!) (Could I forgive you.. Always!) Besides, you don't snore so loudly when you're faking it..lol! Wendy C: I give you the meadow mushroom.(magic ones, deadly to brain cells) It seems it burned out who you were and of that I'm sorry. I guess the other flower, was the double tangerine daffodils you promised to give me from the slough side of the bank by your house. I hope you find your mind. Truly!~ I plant Daffodils in your honor every year. They supposedly represent mental strength. I have 5 types of doubles I cultivate in your honor. Mandy P: You get the Star flowers. You can¿t kill them! You can¿t give them away enough to keep them from being weeds. Survivor in what ever color they wear! Not the Yellow ones! You are not scared, Ever! You wait till you get 40! LMAO. Cath C: You get the lost seeds of my double Pink-Salmon Holly Hocks! I know I'll find those seeds some day! The single one that made it last winter (2008 23 inches of snow and a fallen green house.) It really did breed. They come up from time to time mixing with my reds. So the paler ones with a double flower.. ARE YOURS! Rare, but out there and refusing to quit. Keep up the good work and giving a buddy an email of support! 156 and firming due to your huge green ball..Who knew? "balling" could be so good for you! I'm sitting on it now. ( It actually hurt for the first 3 months) But I no longer fall on my ass! Go ahead... You Harlot! LAUGH! you'll be in my shoes soon. 15 years is not all that long. I'll be there with tissues for the big "M" You'll get there. Pass the soy cream cheese or sour cream? So in passing: Even the weeds, We should have remembrances. I will keep this year aside for remembrances.
