Pam's Story
There is so much to say because I myself do not beleive some of the things that has happened since school. I have been married a few times - just can't seem to get it right or should I say the way I really want it (boy, that sounds snooty). I have four grown boys and they are scattered one works as a Defense Contractor in Germany, one has his own business in Northern Virginia, one is in South Dakota and one is here in North Carolina. I am raising my granddaughter, who is 9 years old, she truly has my heart. I am currently living in North Carolina working on Fort Bragg and am one of the senior leaders. Before coming here I lived and worked in Germany for 18 1/2 years (ok, little crazy) being there afforded me the opportunity to go places and see things that I would have never had the chance to do. With my job I have a lot of satisfaction in ensuring that the soldiers and their families receive the quality of life that they so deserve. y job I too could deploy and I want too so very much BUT because I have my granddaughter I am not able because it would disrupt her.
I have lived and worked in El Paso, Texas; Lawton, Oklahoma; and of course northern Virginia. I have lived and worked in Germany and traveled all over Europe and seen things that I have read about and never thought that I a girl from George Washington High School would ever have the opportunity to experience. I say experience because you just wouldn't beleive some of the stories I have I keep saying that I am going to write a book - I've started but haven't nearly completed. I remember many times while working in Germany the helicopter pilots needed flying time so we would fly to Italy for pizza or pasta - sounds crazy, yep it was. About five years ago had the opportunity to go to Egypt that was totally unreal I will never forget it.
I love life to the fullest. I am amazed by some of the choices that people make and that I have made. Enough for now - maybe more later.
