Ann's Story

Well, here we are again. I see someone has visited my site. Have any of the rest of you paid the membership fee required in order to see what people have written on their blogs?!! I just joined for three months just to see what comes up. So if you want to communicate with me, now is your chance. Ray (my husband for almost 47 years) and I have just returned from Yuma Arizona after being away from the cold Canadian winter for six weeks. the folks in the RV park wondered why we would leave when it lis still so cold back home. The answer is that Ray's passion since retiring is curling. He belongs to three leagues and curles five times a week. So we go down south just after Christmas and get back here the beginning of February. This January was a wonderful month there weather wise. I made my first stained glass to hang in our kitchen window at home. I also ...Expand for more
decorated a large gourd, a craft that I believe is exclusive to the south where they can grow those huge gourds. We are both retired, of course; he from being a professor at the University of Manitoba and me from a career in teaching and other office jobs later on after I burned out from the teaching. We have three children, all living near us in Manitoba and six grandchildren. We plan to spend the rest of our lives in Manitoba after immigrating here in 1964. We enjoy Canada, but are intrigued with the US political scene. I actually voted in the last federal election as I thought it important. It will be interesting to see whether we get a woman or a black man for the next president. Sounds like it won't be a Republican. I won't go into any more detail unless I get a response from someone. Until then. Hugs, Ann Jones Ingalls in cold, cold Manitoba.
