Shannon's Story
Hi Everyone..... Well, I'm sure most of you remember John and I got married my Junior year expecting our 1st child, Who was 7 months old when I graduated. YES..we are still married, for 23 years now. And loving every minute of it.. We have 2 beautiful daughters Yvette Michelle who is now 23 and graduated in May 2009 from LACASSINE HIGH SCHOOL and graduated as a CNA,FROM MORGAN SMITH CAMPUS IN JENNINGS and was married in October 2009 to Timmy Maple. They gave us our 1st grandbaby in Sept. 2011 Her name is Sunnie Jo..and Sadie Jo who is 17,and a Jr. at Lacassine High School . Sadie was given a Musical Talent that is unbelievable..Blessed with a Awesome voice..They are not afraid to get in front of people like I was.. But.. things change..I am much more out spoken now ,than I was back then. I guess my children made me like that...Things happen and make you alot STRONGER!! In May 1992 ...Expand for more
shortly after high school and Yvette was 2 yrs, old I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. It was rough going for a while but with my wonderful husband and family , Prayers and the Lord above, (even though I thought the CHEMOTHERAPY was killing me) everything turned out perfect.. I am in remission now for 19years, Sadie was born after my fight with CANCER, I believe in MIRACLES..I am very THANKFUL for everyday since then, so I can watch my children grow up.. In 1997 we moved to Lacassine La. where for 15 years now we have been burying the roots and plan to stay here. I am a School Bus driver at Lacassine High School, And John works for Northrup Grumman.. We have a Chihuahua named Princess and a Chiweinie named Izzy,& 3Horses: Sassy, Breez, ,Pealot(Big Red). John loves riding I don't that's to far to fall..
