Marsha's Story

Well, I really don't know if anyone but me will ever read this, but I am writting it. May 31, 2008, My Lonnie passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. He battled it for 9 months and was able to see our 2nd grandchild born, Brianna. She was only a week old to the day. We found out September 11, 2007 something was wrong with him and it turned out to be one of the worst kinds of cancer. I hate the c-word. We were able to travel some, between chemo treatments and doctors visits. He was strong till the end and really was only in the bed and could not get up for a day and a half. outlook and had a peace about the whole thing, the Lord really does send a peace that words can not explain. For me, well, I am still here and erveryday is a battle. I get up in the mornings and tell myself, "today is going to be a good day, you will smile, you will make it today, etc...". It is hard, becasue I had this wonderful man in my life since I was 14 years old. He was my best friend, lover, & soulmate. I can honestly say, I have been loved and have loved more than most people. For that reason, I have been blessed. When the Lord is finished with me I will get to see Lonnie again.
