In college, I discovered that life wasn't as easy as I thought it was, and it turned out that I didn't have it all figured out. I went through a period of deep depression and loneliness. Some friends from the dorms invited me to go to church, and that sounded like the dumbest way to spend a Sunday. Somehow, they convinced me to go, and I decided to go prove it wrong. Through the amazing grace of the Lord, I was the one that was proved wrong. I came to the realization that God is real. He is the definition of perfection, love and grace. He is so perfect and good that He can not be with anything evil, but He loves us so much that He desires to be with us. The problem is, that if we do even one thing in our lives which isn't good, we are separated from Him. That means, of course, that all of mankind cannot be in fellowship with God. Because He is just, He cannot let the wrong things we do go un-punished. To look the otherway would mean that He wouldn't be just. Because he cares for us so deeply, He sent His son, Jesus to take the punishment of all the things every human ever did or ever will do wrong. Christ lived His life not committing a single injustice.
