Sarah's Story
After I finished high school, I went to BCC and didn't have a clue why. After bombing out of college, I worked full time for several years and married an Episcopal Priest. While married, I returned to college to obtain a Bachelor's degree in English - Secondary Education. Of course, in 1986 when I graduated, there were no jobs available in that field. I returned to school - the University of Rhode Island - to work toward a degree in Electrical Engineering. 3 years later, I obtained a second Bachelor's degree and began working for the Navy in Newport, RI. ter finally convincing my husband to have children, I gave birth to a beautiful girl and then promptly moved to Illinois. I began working for a manufacturing company as a programmer and several years later (at the ripe age of 42) gave birth to a boy. After too many years of an unhappy marriage, I left and divorced my husband and moved closer to work. I currently am an IT Supervisor, make a great living and live with my 2 young children, dog and 2 cats. I've been involved with an awesome man for more than a year who the kids just love.
