Brenda's Story
I recently left the Information Technology field after 13 years of managing a Help Desk/Deskside Support group at the University of Connecticut Health center. Prior to that I also worked in IT at CCSU and before that at Northeast Utilties...pretty much my whole working life has been connected to the IT field. However I'm doing something much more fun and creative these days. I started my own candle business, CT River Candles last year and have been enjoying the freedom and creative expression it has provided. I have a couple of retail venues as well as an online store. On the home front I have a son and daughter, now 23 and 19 that are doing well in both their personal and professional lives. They both live at home with me and my husband, Alan in Haddam where we recently moved....not quite back to the hometown but closer and more familiar than our previous address in Berlin.
It's been a step down memory lane seeing all of the familiar names from High School......seems so long ago.....Since we've all hit the Big 50 recently - let's all rejoice that 50 is the new 40!!
