Paul's Story
I believe it is impossible to definitely prove or disprove the existence of God or adequately define, describe or understand a deistic existence. I personally find no evidence of any supreme being, collectively. Belief in the existence of the deistic existence is subjective.
I believe that any so-called holy srcipture is humanly generated, authored by sometimes ordinary and sometimes extraordinary people but never by a supreme being.
I believe that professional gurus, including religious clergy of every type, are extraneous and unnecessary as spokespersons of esoteric wisdom. They should be replaced with objective
facillitators who encourage all to think for themselves.
I believe, based on how I want to be treated by others, that (a) I can choose right over wrong without the aid of definitions from any church, creed or belief system; and (b) I am responsible
for my own deliberate actions. In some temporal manner I may suffer consequences or reap benefits from my intentional behavior.
I believe, because fixed doctrines inhibit spiritual and/or intellectual growth and freedom, that mandated creeds or faith tenets should not be required for fellowship or participation in the
life of a truth seeking community.

I always wanted to be a rock star/actor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an idiotic idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.

I blow off steam/relax with my wife, my kids, grandkids, gardening, music, blogging, annoying the know-it-alls, and just being me in general.
The wildest thing I did in school was streaking down Church Street. A hint? NEVER run naked in cold weather...
I have lived in Scotland, Germany, Florida, Connecticut, Texas, Alaska, Iceland, Sweden, Michigan.
The one person from Hoosick Falls I'd most like to see again is Patty Vogler. I SO had a crush on her....
My kids taught me just how deeply I can love, and how utterly frightening being a parent can be. My family is my life.
The teacher I would love to meet again? Mrs. Clintsman. I had the hots for her in high school.
If I won $100 million, I'd donate to various charities and invest the rest in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, hedge funds, etc. As I do now.
My best friend would tell you I'm wonderful, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as an arrogant, self-centered prick.
Best friend from HF? Charlie Leeseman. We met in fourth grade. Was then and still is one of the best people on Earth.
What would surprise people at my high school reunion? Most likely that I took the time to appear and how damn good I still look.
A childhood memory I will never forget? Being removed from my home and the pig who gave birth to me, the court putting me with my grandmother, and the ability to sleep soundly for the first time in my life.
