Mark's Story

If there was one thing that I could do over again it would be to keep in touch with what friends I had in school. Being a "military brat" and moving to where ever my Dad was stationed was one thing that didn't help making friends, so I didn't have that many growing up. Also being tagged as "Jerseys' Brother" didn't help either. The teacher(s) I remember most were Mr. Johnson (Band), Mr. Davis (chemistry) and Mr. Vaughn (shop), although I didn't heed their advice until later years, I have always remembered what they said about striving to do better and not being content with mediocrity. l I followed in my dad and brother's footsteps... I joined the military... got to see some of the world: Germany, England, Okinawa (where I was introduced to sushi) and the Philippines. After the military I found myself in Upstate New York with a wife and child. The wife is history, but my daughter has blessed me with two wonderful granddaughters. I'm happy with how my life has turned out and wouldn't change a thing , except for keeping in touch with friends. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to various charities , then spend the rest on a new home, all of my family and my retirement.
