Cheryl's Story
Some of my fondest memories of Bryan Station High centered around the BSH Chorus. I was an underclassman when Terry Clayborne and Deborah Green were lead singers in the King and I? Talented! Anyway...since high school I have spent many years raising a family, working, going to school, and traveling. I have worked in Marketing and Media Sales, including NPR Radio/TV, Admin Asst at WVLK-Lexington w/my dear sister- friend, the late Sandra Combs-Hanson. Later worked as an Acct Exec at a couple of country music stations in Kansas and Alabama.
I have a degree in Christian Counseling and am eagerly looking forward beginning work toward a Masters in MHC. My most recent work was with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Classmates, I urge those of you who have the heart to consider mentoring a child in need (...Expand for more
many are). The intangibles and blessings in the relationship for both you and the child w/be beyond measure.
In our travels, my husband and I have been blessed to visit several different continents experiencing diverse cultures, including Asia Europe and Australia as well as many states throughout the US including Alaska and Hawaii. My husband works as an educator and Men's BB coach on the collegiate level. We are a blended family with 1 daughter and 2 step-sons and 9 grandchildren. It's all good!
I still love nearly all genre's of music although I don't sing as much as I used to. Other ways I spend time is church ministry (women, teens and singles), reading, movies, exercising and just managing life. It will be good to hear from some classmates and to catch up. All the best and God Bless!
