Lynda's Story
Lynda (James) former Smeck, now Tingley. I left Athens in 75 with Bill Smeck and young daughters Tammy and Joanna for Venice, Florida. Divorced Bill in 76 and did not remarry until 82, to George Tingley. We just celebrated our 27th anniversary and have been deliriously happy. The children are still in the Sarasota area along with two grandchildren.
My "hang-out" friends while attending AHS were Judy King and Denise Deibler. I have not heard from them since leaving Athens. We were the "three musketeers" who smoked and skipped a lot of school. It's a wonder we ever graduated.
My Sister still lives in the Athens area, my brother in Dayton. I get up there about every couple years.
