Silvia's Story
After we graduated from St. Anthony's, I moved to a small town (my Mom's hometown) near Guadalajara, Mexico. I went to school in the city. I have a bachelor's degree in preschool education and I teach kindergarten. I have been happily married for 12 years and my son Carlos Uriel(named after his Dad) is 11 and my daughter Sylvia(guess who she's named after) is 6.
My parents and my brother Frankie still live in Oxnard so I visit every summer with my family. Even though I visit every year, I didn't keep in touch with anyone from St. Anthony's.

I guess you could say I was pretty quiet back then. I'm not that quiet anymore.
I really like living here in Mexico. We've thought about moving to CA but I like living in a town where everyone pretty much knows you. I can walk to work and I'm only a block from my kids school. The city is only about 40 minutes away so we can go whenever we feel like shopping or just going to the movies.
Sometimes when people talk about their childhoods, I get kind of homesick since I'm so far away from where I grew up. These things are really important to me.
