Steven's Story
After high school enlisted in the US Navy, there wasn't anything to do around Greentown, and served with air squadron VA-147 flying A7-E jet aircraft in Lemoore Ca. and on board the aircraft carrier USS Constellation.
I left a lot of good friends from Greentown and Converse.
In 1978 married Tami Horoho (EHS class of 77). Left the military in 79 and worked for NCR (National Cash Register Co) in Jasper In. In 1990 moved to Dayton Oh. with NCR.
I have traveled all around the world with the military and NCR. On one of my trips with NCR, I was able to take Tami to Australia. I had been in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and Japan then met Tami in Sydney Australia. I was offered a job with NCR in Australia but it wasn't the best thing for the family so I declined.
In 2004 Tami & I moved to Cedar Creek Tx. Tami followed me through the military and NCR, now it was my turn to follow her. Tami had a great opportunity for a supervisor position at St. David's Hosp in Austin Tx.
After 25 years with NCR I was laid off. In 2006 I started my own business (ASC Racing & Restorations) restoring antique, classic muscle cars & trucks. I'm also into drag racing, competing with a 66 Dodge Charger.
Tami and I will retire in Texas. No more moving! We have a beautiful home in the country with 1.5 acres. We live right around the corner from Kirk and Robin Sumner (EHS class of 77).

two children. Nick who lives in Converse In close to Grand Parents. and Lesli who lives in Carlisle Oh. We have three grandchildren, Christian and Natalie and a new addition Emily.
Well a 2018 update. I attached a picture of Tami and I at a Mecum Car auction here in Austin. We were drivers for the Mecum Staff. It is a lot of fun driving the vehicles across the auction block.
Tami and I are moving toward retirement. Can't believe I'm turning 62 this year. We have purchased a 35 foot RV and plan to travel the country. Eventually we will sell our home and go full time RV living. We will spend lots of time up in Indiana and Ohio with our kids and grand kids over the summer months staying around family. Then travel around the country and winter on Galveston Island.. We both love it down here in Texas but its far from the kids and family.
I am now semi-retired, work when I want to in my shop restoring old vehicles and Tami , she can't wait until she can retire.
We spend our free time going to country music festivals down at Gruene Hall Texas near San Antonio. The oldest music hall in Texas. We have good friends that are in the country music business and love hanging out with them. If you ever get a chance, listen to Sirius XM radio, tune into Willie's Place or Outlaw Country and listen to Dallas Wayne.. He also has some great albums out.
