Debra's Story
After a year of college to grow up, I married my high school sweetheart, Russ, and this year we will celebrate our 34th anniversary. For those 34 years Russ has had a successful construction business in addition to coming back to the farm in 1988. I do drafting and design for the business and also am one of the farmhands. I don't do bad for a girl who grew up a "towny" if I say so myself! We have purchased 2 farms and, due to a bad knee, Russ is not doing much construction. We have 3 children. Gretchen, 31, married to John Kirkpatrick has 3 children and teaches horticulture and science at Seeger High School; John, 28 and single, lives in Indianapolis and works at Indiana Life Sciences developing computer programs to run lab equipment; and Greg, 26, lives at home and works at Kroger in Crawfordsville and is active in Special Olympics.
We are active in our church, love to travel and dote on our grandkids, ages 6, 4, & 3 months (who are absolutely perfect and geniuses, too!!)
