Faye's Story
Right after high school, I married Roger Banister and we had five children during our 15 year marriage. After that I moved to Greenville and found my niche working in accounting. I studied accounting at Furman. In 1975, I married Jerry Shirley and he adopted my children. Jerry sold our finance companiies last year, but continues to be a consultant for the company. In another year he will be completely retired. We have a home in Myrtle Beach where we spend a lot of time with our 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child. We play as much golf as possible. play Augusta National March 6, 2008. This has been a dream of his for a long time. We travel a lot and have gotten to play golf on some of the most beautiful courses in the world. I did not play the Old Course in Scotland with Jerry. It is way out of my league! We try to make every day the best we can and are so thankful for the good health that we have. We are blessed with a wonderful family and we do not take that for granted. Remembering my days in high school brings back some of the best memories of my life. I consider myself lucky to have been part of Honea Path High School.
