Sandra's Story

I currently live in Cecil (still close to Paris); this is where I moved to when David and I got married after graduation in 1988. Most all of you know David, since he and I started dating my sophomore year. Therefore, along with this year (2008) being the milestone of our 20 year class reunion, I also just recently had a 20 year wedding anniversary. We took David's 84 Chevy Silverado for a ride to Paris a couple of weekends ago. It was wonderful, and he is still wonderful too! We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl (Kelsea) in 1990. She has been a dream come true. A lot of you know of her already. This is the crazy part; Kelsea just graduated from high school at County Line! She has signed to play softball at U of O in Clarksville, where she will attend college this fall on an academic scholarship. She had other college offers (athletically and academically) but decided to attend U of O after being recruited by the head softball coach there. Most importantly, Kelsea is a kind and caring person with good direction in life. We are proud of her! In 1996, we had an addition to our family that would change our lives forever. Our son, Kelvin, is one to always be remembered by everyone, everywhere he goes. He is almost 12 and has never been at a loss for making friends where ever he may be. He has made us grow while learning how to deal with his strong will and big dreams. He attends school a...Expand for more
t County Line and is an excellent student. We were told not to expect out of him what Kelsea obtained academically, and we didn't. However, we did expect him to do the best he could, and has he ever made that count! He loves sports too! The rest is yet to be known. He is very special to us! I have been working with David in the oilfield industry every since we got married. We own and manage two businesses. One is a drilling company which we started about 10 years ago, and the other is dirt work construction which is done in preparation for the drilling of wells. Our main offices are located in Ozark, which is where I am at pretty much everyday of the work week. Between work and keeping up with Kelsea and Kelvin, it is tough for us to find much time. However, we manage to still be as close as ever! My parents still live in Paris. They have both retired from working at Paris Schools, and Dad works for us now. My brother, Bobby, works for our drilling company. Sisters - Carolyn is a General Manager for Red Lobster, and Carrie works in the office at Cloyes Gear in Subiaco. I have 13 nieces and nephews (counting 3 from David's brother, Greg, who lives in Cecil). David's parents live in Cecil too, and so does his grandma who is 93. I have one grandma still living, who lives in Oklahoma. I hope all is well with all of you, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming class reunion!
