Peter's Story
I retired from being in the hospital supply business for almost 40 years. My last company was Nonin Medical out of Plymouth,Minn. I was their western regional manager for 10 years. I have lived in Pleasanton, Calif for 38 years and love my community. My brother, Richard, was in the class of 55' and went to Yale and graduated in 59'. He just passed away a few months ago . He lived in retirement in Sanibal ,Florida. He got me into Cheshire,which changed my life completely. for the better. I have a son and a daughter who both went to UC Santa Barbara, They both live within a half hour from me My daughter has two sons and my son is planning a family very soon,as he was recently married. Howie Frank,class of 60' is a neighbor of mine. We take yoga together and play some golf. I have been married for 43 years and have a wonderful wife,whose name is Ann. rdine University and SMU. .with a major in Political Science. As I needed to eat after college I went into sales and stayed there for my 40 year career. I owe alot in my life to Cheshire Academy. I was member of the the 1960 undefeated football team I played for 3 years. I was a member of the state prep school basketball championship team that beat Hotchkiss for the state title and went to the New England championship at Boston College. I am originally from Branford,Ct. and two of my best friends from Branford were also on that team. They were Dennis McGowen and Mike Jones. I am still best friends with Mike. Dennis passed away about 12 years ago. I will always have fond memories of Cheshire and am glad to see it flourish today. My sons football coach in high school was John Madden's sons. They went to Choate and they were very familiar with Cheshire. Pete Stanton.
