Brenda's Story
HEY!
The quick update...
I spent the last several years taking care of my paternal granddad, Jesse. He passed away 10/07. Caring for him was one of the hardest yet most rewarding things I've ever done. If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heart beat. I miss him terribly.
I really like to travel. My husband & I went to Greece in May to see some of my friends. I haven't done as much traveling as I would like, but have some fun trips on the horizon.
Did you notice I said "husband"? Yep, it is true! (Oh, I guess the change in the last name might have given that away.) Jeff & I got married 10/06. It is the first marriage for both of us & neither of us have kids. Well, we have a dog named Calvin & really, we couldn't handle anything else! (My cat of almost 18 years died days after Granddad did.)
Jeff & I eloped to Fiji. The only people that knew we were eloping were the gals at the bridal shop & the travel agent. We got married on the beach at sunset. Fijian warriors escorted me fro...Expand for more
m our bure to the ceremony site all while being serenaded by a Fijian choir! Our families didn't even know we were out of town! We called them after we were married. I don't have to tell you my mom was honked off, but my brother laughed his butt off! I wouldn't have changed a single thing. Except my hair. I didn't like it one bit that day!
I really didn't think I would ever get married. Matter of fact, when I first met Jeff, I was trying to figure out who I could set him up with! We started dating a year after we met. From our first date to our wedding was 29 weeks & 5 days.
We live in Broomfield, CO. We attend a great church, are passionate about a school we help support for refugee & immigrant kids in Glyfada, Greece, and are crazy about hockey & football. There is more to us, but that gives you an idea.
Please feel free to contact me any time. My email address: brenda.prose AT comcast.net. Didn't realize I couldn't use the "AT" symbol for the email address...I know now!
