Doreen's Story
I seriously tried to complete the Q/A, but there are no boxes for who I am or what I've done...so here goes.
During the process of researching colleges for my son (something I never did because no one at SMHS ever told me I was college material), I confirmed that I am a bit of a control freak. I've gotten better over the years, primarily because having a successful marriage, career and parental experience require compromise. But deep down, I admit that's what I am. I've had a very rewarding career with ATT/Lucent for 30 years living in and traveling to many different places in the world and like some of you, perhaps, have had some meaningful work since I retired several years...Expand for more
ago. I have a great husband (watch out for the quiet ones), a teeage son (very recently officiallly licensed), 2 incredibly handsome step sons, 1 blonde grandson from one of them who looks like me (figure that out), a wonderful daughter in law, my parents, my brother, friends, a dog, and a house in Cape May. At the moment, life is good. I vote on the issues, am a reader, a Springsteen fan from the 70s (GREAT show at Giants stadium), a beach person, a tea drinker and a part time interior decorator.
If you are reading this, I hope throughout the years you have had many joys and few sorrors, more laughter than tears, great loves, great friends and reasons to believe.
