Growing up I was taught to respect even those you disagreed vehemently with because that's what America is supposed to be about. The freedom to think what you want and express yourself in a peaceful manner was something our forefathers supposedly instilled in us. And yet so many people today are intolerant and even angry if others disagree with them. If only for that reason this country is and has been suffering from what a former president (Jimmy Carter) termed a "national malaise." We need to examine ourselves and ask how we can do whats necessary to make our nation great again, in our own eyes and those of our fellow man.".
