Shelly's Story
graduated from PVHS in 1987, have three younger sisters who are identical triplets that graduated in 1989. I would like to reconnect with ol friends and classmates and even though I have a couple of the popular texting/picture sites I have had little luck finding classmates. Email me and we can catch up on many years!
I have added some pictures of myself and my family for all to see. Please don't take offense to my pics, I was overweight for quite awhile and have finally lost 50+lbs. Now I have to exercise, yuck! Lots of stress during my adult life, losing my mom before i was 30 to a rare cancer (she died at the age of 50) and then my dad committed suicide 15 months later at the age of 53. He was my rock/my idol, so his dying did quite a number on me also....about tore me up mentally. Meanwhile I found out...Expand for more
right after my mom died I found out I was pregnant with my second son, I was still in nursing school....and a month after graduation he came a month early. SURPRISE!
You would think things would eventually settle down, but about 2-3 yrs after my dad died I found out the pharmacist from KCMO, Robert Courtney, had been mixing my moms chemo drugs. He was arrested for dilluting chemo meds for financial gains for himself. So we will never know if he killed her or not.....
I am a registered Nurse and work both in KS/MO. I am an ER/Trauma nurse and work contract agency for a nation wide nursing/healthcare agency for over 8 years now. That way I pick the days I work so I can be there for our two sons. Seems the older they get, the needer.
Anyway.....hope to connect with some of you soon.
