Patricia's Story
You all know me as Patty Weber, the "baby" of the Weber family - the youngest of 8 children born to Dick and Dorothy Weber of Hudson.
Professionally: I graduated from WCHS in 1988 and then went to trade school to learn the travel industry. I got my first travel agent job at Master Travel in February 1989 and stayed there until July 1996. I loved being a travel agent and it allowed me to travel all over the US (including Hawaii) and Germany - all for free. I left Master Travel and had a small stint at another travel agency, Destination Travel in Boulder. I only stayed there for less than a year and decided to try a new industry. I then worked for Auto-Trol Technology in Thornton - in the legal department as an Adminstrative Assistant. I got to learn about proposal administration from start to finish and was exposed to legal issues and immigration issues as well. After leaving Auto-trol in July of 1998, I joined Accenture (the former Andersen Consulting) as an executive assistant. I enjoyed working in downtown Denver and the fast paced nature of the work. Within a year, I moved into Local Training and Employee Transactions and...Expand for more
then became the New Joiner Orientation Coordinator for Denver. In this role, I was Accenture's first orientation coordinator to "pilot" travelling to other offices in the US to conduct orientation. I got the privilege of traveling to many different cities in the US and meeting and welcoming so many of my Accenture counterparts - it was very rewarding. After the birth of my son, in August of 2005, I moved to another role with Accenture, Experienced Hire Integration. My husband Marty took over the Orientation Coordinator role (I taught him well!!!). I am still at Accenture and plan on staying here for the long haul!!
Personally:
- I married Don Johnson in October 1994, but got divorced in December 2003.
- My father, Dick Weber, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep on May 5, 2005.
- My first child was born on 8/14/05, Ayden Richard.
- I married Marty Martinez on 08/16/08, after waiting four years for my annulment (from the Catholic Church) to come through.
- My second child was bort on 6/16/09, Jordyn Henry
- We live happily and quietly in Thornton, near 108th and Colorado Blvd.
- Marty works for Accenture as well.
