Ruth's Story
I married 2 months after graduation. we will be married 50 years in July. we have been blessed with 3 kids. 13 grand kids and 7 great grands. We are a very close knit family. I was born to be a Mom, States my husband. My kids are all grown with their own kids. after raising my children I went back to school and am an activities director. My residents love me. I make lap robes for them to help keep them warm during the winter months. I love outdoor activities traveling, singing, reading, doing machine embroidery, sewing cooking and of course making people feel good about themselves. especially the elderly. I love my job. I have a grand daughter with brain cancer Her mom died two years ago so I go to Maryland as often as I can to help my son out with the 6 kids he has and is raising them on his own with Gods help. He is in the Air Force and is also a pastor. His plate is quite full. my daughter is an accountant and my eldest son is an over the road trucker. My husband has been disabled since 1993. God is my strength. I felt I was very quiet when in school but have come out of my shell I love people and to laugh and have fun with friends. I think often of my days at Fletcher. It was a happy time in my life. When I was at Fletcher I had a younger sister there also .
