Jenny's Story
When I graduated in '98 I was a newly wed. Wade and I have beat the odds and are still together. We have two precious little girls, ages 4 and 2. My family is my pride and joy.
I went to work at Neuse Center for Mental Health in '98 and stayed there until '05. I really enjoyed my work, but hated being held back by my lack of education. I finally went back to school in the fall of '05. My intentions then were to become a therapist so I double-...Expand for more
majored at Craven in psychology and social work. Then I took a biology class and realized how much I loved science. I also started to rethink what I wanted to do, so I changed majors. I graduated from Craven with associate degrees in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Science, and Nursing (pre-major). Does that qualify me as a geek or what?! I am now a junior at ECU in the School of Nursing. I'm looking forward to working in the medical field.
