Sallie's Story
I went to college in RI, taught a year in MA, moved to Chicago, and haven't been back to VA more than 3 times since my parents moved away in 1977. It was a hard transition living in the Midwest but the people here are great and it is a wonderful place to work and to raise a family.

an artist since graduation, but i still write. My second children's book, Truck Stuck, came out in Feb. of 2008. I have another scheduled for release in 2009.
I've been married to Chuck Wolf for almost 35 years and we have 2 sons, ages 29 & 26.
I've been wondering if Hammond ever has reunions. I've never heard about any, but I haven't really been in touch. I read a lot of YA literature and it makes me think of my own high school days. Hope things are going well for the class of 1968.
