Bobbie Ann's Story

No, I didn't graduate from Del City but most everyone I grew up with did & this helps me get in touch. I graduated from Del Baptist Academy (no longer in existence) my junior yr, '84. I was a nanny/slash housekeeper for an Okla congressman in VA when I was 20...great experience. I moved back to mid-del area & married Greg Stogsdill (my jr high sweetheart) when I was 21, had five amazing children-3 boys, 2 girls, & my youngest son's brain didn't fully develop so he's mentally still like a 1-3yr old, got divorced after 13yrs of which the last 2 he lived with his girlfriend. Life was hell for quite a while starting in 2000. It was quite challenging to have a disabled child but he's precious, and to attempt to care for the needs of my family. describe the sorrow that brings. I just started a job in Edmond as a special ed teacher's asst & I love it. This is my 3rd yr in this type of work. I take it one day at a time and trust in God's grace & mercy. 9-7-09 Well I believe I'm finally living & not just surviving. It's been a long, difficult journey, but so worth it! I by far am free from challenges (I believe the way it goes is you'll always have them in various forms & degrees), but I welcome them now...I know they're opportunities for my heavenly Father to tutor me to become more like him. The spirit is willing..the flesh is weak :). 10-4-09 Life is so much fun!! I love my children, my church family, my job, the place where I am in my life (though I have so much to still learn!)..and more than anything, my relationship with my heavenly Father!
