Mary's Story
After graduating HS,worked in the same school system for Supt.of Schools for 2 years. Went on to work for a physicist & mathematician in research & development. Met my husband (of 49+ years) and had 2 sons and daughter. When my youngest was in pre-K I took a p/t job and then went on to work for a vp of 9 real estate offices. From there got a job in Mather Hosp.in Pt.Jeff,NY and worked there for 11 years and at the same time took courses at Suffolk & then Stony Brook Univ. where I graduated with a Fine Arts degree (with my son who got an E.E.).
We moved in '86 to CT and my other 2 children were in college, so I got a license in real estate and have been doing that ever since. Now it's time for a change; I want to put that degree into practice and start us...Expand for more
ing my creativity - I have sold some things that I create, but working alone is difficult for me - I like people. We'll see.
My children & grandchildren (6 in all) keep me very busy too. We have made a theater in our home for them to put on productions when we all converge. All of them play piano. The oldest, 20 plays marimba,& her sister (17) plays alto sax. The
son & daughter of my 2nd son compete in Irish dance & semi-pro theater productions. My daughter's daughter plays piano and their son has begun too. They are all so smart - unlike my hs academic performance.
I'm so very proud of my children and grandchildren - can you tell?
