cue complexity. I, as do you, live in a fallen world operated by fallen people, governed by a fallen angel (Lucifer). Yes, I know that sounds silly, I thought that as well. I used to laugh at Christians and their ridiculous claims and their ridiculous hypocrisy. Now, I am one. I am a hypocrite, as are you, I make claims about Christ, only now they do not seem as ridiculous. You see, my life changed in July of 1997. I went to a Christian camp called M-Fuge and realized I was surrounded with a bunch of goofy looking Christian people, who were a bunch of hypocrites, but for the first time in my life, I realized they had something clicking in their life that I did not. It was at this point I felt a deep longing for something more in life. Tears began to roll down my face and I made a quick challenge to this God they worshiped. I asked God to reveal Himself to me if He was real......cue more tears and now the feeling of power running through my body. I broke. I learned the Gospel story that day and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. Life has never been the same. God is the Creator of the world, Jesus is His mediator to a fallen world and the Holy Spirit is the power of God that filled Jesus and now dwells inside of each of us who call upon the name of Christ (see Romans 10:9-10 above). I am still a simpleton. I am still part of a fallen world. I am still a hypocrite. However, I will go to heaven when I die. You see that's the beauty of grace.....it has no boundaries, except the ones we create. I, as do you, have pride in my life. I, as do you, have many strongholds that I have trouble releasing. Here is the deal; emptiness is the beginning of fullness. When we simply let go of our pride and our strongholds, grace enters in and life begins. It really is a beautiful story, that once seemed so foolish to me. The question I have for you is, "Will you, as have I, allow yourself to be emptied to be filled?"".
