Harold's Story
After high school I went to trade school to be a welder and worked on building a bridge till June 1970 when I received my greetings from Uncle Sam .U.S Army drafted me for 2-years,spent 13 months overseas during the Viet Nam War,the most wasted 2-years of my life,but I'm proud to be a veteran.Got married Oct 17 1970 to Charlotte Lowe New Madrid girl,whom I have been with for 38 years and she is the best thing that has happened to me thus far.After my hitching with Army and then marriage I went to work for New Madrid Police dept for 3-years then New Madrid County Sheriffs Dept for 2-years. Ambulance District as a EMTA ,I basically had 2-jobs fulltime .Then June 1978 I applied with Missouri State Highway got the job as a Commercial Vehicle Officer and spent the next 28-years with them upon retirement Sept 2003.I was still working with Ambulance Dist till July of 2005.Now I'm doing nothing,totally retired. Hobbies I'm working on a old corvette and riding my Harley.I have a son Eric who is 28 years old, grandson Preston 1 year old both along with my wife are the reason I get up in the morning,they are the love of my life......If I can figure out how to send photos I will...this is not the end
