Reba's Story
Hello, It's still me, just a lot of years older. ha-ha Aren't we all??
One year after graduation I went to work for the Federal Government at Ft. Bragg. Met and married military. We were married for 19 years, produced 6 children (5 sons, 1 daughter). My husband passed away in 1972 at the age of 46, I was a widow at 39. Life really throws us some strange curves, but we survive and move on...we have no choice it seems.
While with the military we lived in other cities and states at several military bases. When they medically retired my husband from the military we settled in Maryland. I worked with the school system as a substitute teacher while the children were in school and many years in the private sector as a professional secretary.

I am enjoying retirement, can't seem to find enough time to go all the places and do all the things I want to do, but I keep at it, I love to travel. I have been blessed with the opportunities to visit all 50 states. In 2009 I took a 14-day cruise to Hawaii in January and then cruised to Alaska in August. Each state has it's own beauty and bragging rights.
I have taken many college courses for self-improvement such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, Editing, etc., even Ground School for Pilots, hoped to become a Pilot. (The closest I got was co-piloting a Piper Cub. ha-ha)
I have lots of grandchildren and am still getting great-grandchildren. Can't always keep up with the grandchildren physically, but do enjoy them mentally with debates and discussions.
Overall, life is beautiful and I have been tremendously blessed.
